Photos & Images

Take pictures using one of the Library's digital cameras, your own camera or phone, or find creative commons licensed pictures at Flickrcc. The pictures should represent you and your interests in some way. What you do for fun, for socializing, for work or school. Save the pictures to your H drive or I drive.

Story Tools:
If you want to get really creative, make a movie with Animoto (you can sign up for a free account, which will allow you to make a 30 second video). Instead of using the URL, you can get the embed code and embed it as your blog post.

I've also established a school account for PhotoPeach, which is a super simple and fun way to make photo slide shows with captions and music.

I made a sample slideshow of my dog Gus to give you an idea of what it looks like. PhotoPeach is much faster than Animoto and is also embeddable to your blog.

Another really fun tool is Glogster! That is what I used to make my Digital Life blog post I already have student accounts set up, so if you want to use Glogster, e-mail me at rebecca.johnson@d51schools.com and I will e-mail you a username and password (that you can change) to get started.

Try Smilebox to make your own slideshows with words, music and other effects. You'll have to sign up for a free account.
